During the course of a typical alignment and calibration job it is not unusual to encounter a machine with "hidden" problems. This is where our experience comes in; having worked on a very large assortment of machine tools we can efficiently identify the problems and overcome them as necessary.
We can precision level and align the machine base, check for and adjust ball screw end-play, pre-load, and backlash, adjust the gibs to "TIGHTEN-UP" the machine traversing, and square the machine axes to themselves. We have removed and replaced ball screws, adjusted the end-play (to eliminate reversal error), and even repaired a few ball screws On-Site during the ALIGNMENT & CALIBRATION process when the turn around time involved with an outside repair, or replacement was unacceptable. Then we provide Laser Certification as to the condition of the machine.
